- Usage data: Pages visited, features used, quiz scores, game progress, and XP/streak data.
- Uploaded content: PDF files and study materials you upload to the platform.
- Device & technical data: IP address, browser type, operating system, and device type (collected for analytics and security).
- Analytics data: Page view events, post interactions, and session information.
3. How We Use Your Data
We use collected data to:
- Provide and improve the Readnary platform and its features.
- Track your learning progress, XP, levels, and streaks.
- Display leaderboards and personalised content.
- Analyse platform usage to improve content quality.
- Ensure the security and integrity of the platform.
- Respond to support requests and communicate service updates.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
4. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase (Firestore and Firebase Storage), which is hosted on Google Cloud infrastructure. We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure. However, no method of internet transmission is 100% secure.

6. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services that may process your data:
- Google Firebase – authentication, database, and file storage.
- Google Analytics (if enabled) – anonymised usage statistics.
- ipapi.co – anonymous country detection for analytics (no personal data stored).
Each of these services operates under their own privacy policies.
7. Children's Privacy
Readnary is designed for secondary school and college-age students. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 13 without verifiable parental consent. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your account and associated data.
- Object to or restrict certain processing of your data.
